What this product is made of, and what it does with what it hears.

You are putting a listening device in your child's room. You are entitled to know exactly how it works. This page is written plainly and we have not buried anything.

Materials and construction

  • Outer fabric and filling: Final materials are confirmed at production. Full specifications will be published here, and on every product page, before the first order ships.
  • Construction: Soft edges, no detachable small parts
  • Electronics module: Sealed internal housing, not accessible through the fabric
  • Battery: Rechargeable lithium-ion, sealed, non-user-removable, USB-C charging
  • Dimensions: 26 cm (H) × 16 cm (W) × 13 cm (D)
  • Care: Surface clean only. Do not immerse in water. Do not machine wash.

Confirmed at production and published here, and printed on the packaging, before the first order ships.

What it hears, and what happens to it

The Interactive deities — Kanha, Ram and Shambhu — respond to what you say. That means they process speech. Here is exactly how.

When it listens

Only after the button in its palm is pressed. There is no wake word and no always-on microphone. When nobody has pressed it, the microphone is off. A visible indicator shows when it is listening.

What is stored

The conversations your child has with the deity, which stories were played and where they stopped, the times of use, and the questions the deity declined to answer along with the reason. All of it is kept against the child profile the parent created, and it is kept only for as long as you keep it: delete a conversation, delete them all, or delete the child's profile, and it is gone. Parental controls

  • Conversation history is visible to the parent account in the Coshi app
  • All history can be deleted at any time, permanently, from the app
  • Listening and play patterns are visible to the parent only
  • The microphone can be disabled entirely — the deity will still chant and tell stories
  • Quiet hours, volume caps and bedtime cutoffs can be set

What we never do

  • We do not sell voice data, transcripts or any personal information to anyone
  • We do not use recordings for advertising, and we do not build a behavioural profile of your child
  • We do not share data with third parties except the processing providers required to make the product work, as described in our Privacy Policy

If you are outside India

Our Privacy Policy is written to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Wherever you live, the same rules apply to you: verifiable parental consent is collected at app setup for any account with a child profile, and you may request a full export or deletion of all data at any time by writing to us.

Warranty

6 months from date of delivery against manufacturing defects in the sound and electronics module. Damage from misuse, water immersion or attempted repair is not covered.
