Terms & Pre-booking Conditions

Last updated 23 September 2026. These terms govern pre-orders and any purchase made on coshi.shop.

2. The ₹99 pre-order

  • It reserves one of the first 100 units and locks your Founding Backer price of ₹2,499, against a ₹5,999 launch price.
  • It is part of the price, not an extra charge. The ₹99 is deducted from your final payment of ₹2,499, so ₹2,400 is due before dispatch.
  • It is fully refundable. Cancel at any time before dispatch and the whole ₹99 is returned to your original payment method.
  • You are under no obligation to complete the purchase. If you decide not to pay the balance, tell us and we refund your ₹99.
  • One pre-order covers one companion. The deity you choose is recorded with your pre-order.

3. Delivery

Shipping starts on 15 November 2026.

  • Pre-orders ship in the order they were placed, oldest first.
  • We contact you before your companion ships to collect the balance. Nothing further is charged before then.
  • If the shipping date moves, we tell you before it does, and you may cancel for a full refund at any time before dispatch.
  • If we conclude we cannot ship at all, we will say so plainly and publicly, and refund every pre-order in full.

4. Completing your purchase

Before dispatch you receive a single-use Founding Backer code tied to your pre-order. It cannot be transferred or shared. The balance of ₹2,400 is payable then, by the methods offered at checkout.

5. Cancellations, returns and refunds

  • Your ₹99 is refunded in full if you cancel at any time before dispatch. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
  • Once a companion is delivered, returns and exchanges are governed by our Returns & Exchanges policy.
  • If a companion arrives damaged or does not work, we replace it and we pay the shipping both ways.

6. Warranty

Six months against manufacturing defects in the sound and electronics module, from the date of delivery. It does not cover water damage, deliberate damage, or normal wear to the fabric.

7. Safety and age

The companion contains an electronics module and a sealed rechargeable battery. It is surface-clean only and must not be immersed in water. The minimum age is confirmed at production and will be printed on the packaging and published here before shipping. See our Safety, Materials & Your Privacy page.

8. Your data and your child's

We process personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Verifiable parental consent is required before a child may use the companion.

We do not build a behavioural profile of any child. No engagement scoring, no emotional inference, and no experiments designed to keep a child talking longer. Fleet and reliability data is keyed to the device, never to a child. Parents can read every transcript in full and can delete them. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Grievance redressal

Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, complaints may be raised at support@coshi.in or +91 75650 30700, or by post to the address in clause 1.

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month of receipt.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your pre-order are the ones published on the day you placed it; we keep dated copies and will send you the relevant version on request.
